How to pick perfect Mangoes for Salad
They are various different types of mangoes available in the market. And, that is depending on where they are grown and the continents that it is coming from. Some mangoes are good for juices, salads, and pickles. For our case, I will be using a Tommy Atkins this is great for salads due to having a firm flesh, it is tastes tart with sweet notes which blends perfectly with strawberries and banans
How to pick Strawberries
Strawberries are so versatile, works in every kind of cuisine and meal. Whether it is a fancy high dessert or a drink you will definitely find at least one recipe dedicated to it. I love strawberries and enjoy strawberry picking. And, hence have learned that strawberries do not continue to ripen after being picked as most other fruits do. So, you will have to be careful when picking strawberries from your local farmers on your next visit by keeping an eye on the following
Ensure that the leaves look green and fresh, this indicates that strawberries are still fresh. Keep an eye on all berries in a box from sides to top and bottom, ensuring that no mold is present. And, lastly, pick berries (probably obvious to most) that are plump and red, walk past the green or shriveled looking strawberries they are past their peak and mushy

Throw in any of your favorite berries together (whatever is available at home) or at your local grocers and you will enjoy a delicious cooling (ensure that the fruits are refrigerated) salad. If you are making a salad for the next day, do not add dressing, keep the fruits separate from the dressings, and combine right before serving for best taste and freshness
For combining any of your favorite fruits from the list, all you need is one dressing that will complement any fruit by using 2 parts of honey, maple, or agave syrup (you only need one of this natural sweetener) and 1 part of lime juice to make the perfect dressing for all your fruit salad needs. If you are looking for more than the dressing or want to skip the lime. Then surely try the fruit salad with whip cream
For a healthier version, which means completely skipping the sweetner and whip cream. Then opt for fruit salad with yogurt, this will surely give a cooling effect and tastes delicious and refreshing for a hot summer day (oh got to do another blog post on this topic)
