Preheat Oven to 350 F and butter a 8" pan
In a medium sized bowl, whisk flour, sugar and baking powder. Once the dry ingridients have been mixed well
In a seperate bow, whisk butter, egg and vanilla extract, whisk until it is a creamy mixture
Fold in the dry ingridients to the creamy mixture, add in the coconut flakes and 1/2 of your chopped pecans
Press 2/3rd of the mixture in your pan, then spread the apricot jam, layer with the remaining mixture.
Top with pecans and coconut flakes
