And, what to come of this exciting trip compelled me to write about my top 11 snack ideas for your next road trip that you should try.

Top 11 snack ideas for your next road trip
1. PopCorners
PopCorners was something that got ignored at the chips aisle. I wasn’t exactly sure what it was, until recently when I was looking for something new to try and decided to give this PopCorners a try. Makes me think if its white cheddar popcorn or chips lol.
I know it sounds crazy but they actually manage to fuse both chips and popcorn into a white cheddar cheese flavor that give your mouth an unforgettable burst of white cheddar cheese that its makes you crave another.
To top it off these chips are $1.00 and you get a really big bag that can last you the entire trip and you can share with others if you choose.

2. Pistachios
Pistachios are a low calorie nut compared to others. So, its safe to munch on these on your next road trip. Pistachios are crunchy and a great plant based protein. These will also keep the hunger away, and you may forget about the other bad snacks (especially if you are trying to eat healthy)
3. Doritos
Doritos are everybody’s favorite, it comes in a variety of flavors to choose from. So definitely get a bag or two of Doritos especially if you are buying snacks for a group. And, these will surely be a hit with your group
4. Apples and Peanut Butter
Apples are not only a healthy snack option but also delicious with peanut butter. If you haven’t tried sliced apples with a peanut butter as a dip. Then trust me you are missing out. The butter just melts in your mouth as you taste the sweet crunching of the apples. its easy to prep, just wash apples cut into slices and take peanut butter into condiments containers to go for no mess on your trip
5. Trail mix (Chex mix)
This is if you are looking for a party in your mouth. I like the ones with yoghurt coated nuts or dark chocolate to give myself a variety. Trail mixes are a mix of plant based proteins and fiber
If you are not into trail mix (due to all the dried fruits or nuts) then try out Chex mix, this is a blend of chips, hard pretzels, nuts, Chex cereal and comes in a variety different flavors. I love the chocolate Chex mix as it has a good mix of chocolate and other nuts
6. String Cheese
This is one of my favorite snacks. Eating some string cheese with a mix of crackers and sliced apples will give you some energy. You can also have this as a side for your meal. And, obviously this one works wonders on your taste buds and keeps you full for longer
7. Snack Bar
Snack bars are a healthy way to get some fruits, proteins or fiber for the day. Lara bars are one of my top favorite bars to try. These are gluten free, vegan and minimally processed.

8. Greek Yoghurt

Greek yoghurt contains probiotics, which is a good bacteria for our gut health. Plus a good substitute for ice cream. Though you will have to freeze it and add some strawberries to get that ice cream feel. But, if you want to skip the prep. Then try Greek yoghurt with some fruit on it, like your favorite berries, dark chocolate or coconut flakes and you will thank me later.
9. Fruits
Fruits and vegetables are a healthy way to start your trip. As you may already be planning to eat out during your main meals. Good snack fruits would be grapes, strawberries, berries, these are easily accessible and does not require any prep. Also in terms of vegetables you could pack some celery sticks and baby carrots with your favorite dip or buy itself.
10. Lays sour cream & onion chips
Lays sour cream and onion chips. These little critters are so yummy in my tummy, for some reason my taste buds flare up like a fire cracker every time I eat these chips. The taste and crunch is always perfect with every bite and there is enough to share with others. These are easily accessible at any store, or you could go to the dollar tree to pick them up for $1.00.

11. Ice cream
Last but not least, its ice cream. Now, before you think I am crazy! hear me out, since ice cream needs to be indulged immediately once purchased. So, don’t buy ahead or even stop specially to purchase one. Instead keep this snack idea as back up for when you make a gas station stop and are tempted to buy snacks (despite of all the snacks in the car). I know it doesn’t sound travel friendly but surely always lifts up happy levels on a long trip.
